The WDR Big Band

"The Little Pumpkin Project"

This project was a concert for the WDR Big Band on March 31st, 2001 in Cologne, Germany.

In addition to choosing the material, providing the arrangements and conducting the sessions, Dennis was also the guest soloist.

Several of the arrangements for this project were part of a series of compositions that the great arranger/composer Thad Jones gave to Dennis shortly before his death to arrange in honor of his son, William Jones. This series of music is called "The Little Pumpkin Series".
